Opportunity often appears out of thin air. I decided it would be a good idea to come and see my daughter and her husband on my way back to Ohio. It has been three years since I have seen them. My car is again being shipped back to Ohio, so I will need to wait until it arrives to move forward. Since I have rented out my condo in Ohio, I have decided to move into the basement apartment at a friends place on a lake in Indiana, at least for the summer. Alaska to California, Ohio to Indiana. Hmmmm, seems like I am going full circle, doesn’t it?
Retirement may be the option for the summer season, but probably not as I like having something to do on a schedule. Just pursuing what to do next (if anything,) and reconnoitering. Regroup so to speak.
Going full circle seems to be something that just happens in life, at least in my life. Going full circle means a completion of some sort. Like reaching some sort of end point. But I do not think that is what is happening here. I believe that all of life is a process. With this process comes the lessons and experiences that make the person we are intended to be.
Ok, so I went an awful lot of miles to go on this process hunting expedition. But maybe that is as it should be. I am a better person and know myself just a little bit more completely because of having taken the chance to try something new. Even though it did not go as expected, it was still a good experience. Even if the lesson I learned was how I do not want to act in this life, it is still a lesson learned.
Have you ever wondered why things have happened as they did? (I hope I am not the only one who wonders about my choices and actions.) But I guess we all do our best from where we are. Sometimes, the action we take has no other option at that particular time as far as we can see. So, we do the best we can at that single moment in time. As long as we accept our part of the responsibility for that decision, (and I can’t blame anyone else for my choices,) then to be honest, I have learned from that experience. And then I have made progress.
I hope that you can learn from all of your experiences and that your experiences can be a little easier to learn! Some of us have to take the hard path for us to catch on! (That was said jokingly, by the way).
Until next time, have a great life, and remember that you have something to share with others no matter where you are in your life adventure. There is something only you can do, something only you can accomplish, something only you can give. Just live each day to the very best of your ability and you will have done enough. And by the way, your best is going to change from day to day. Accept that and you can’t go wrong. Take care, friends!
